Allison Bores '13 (MBA '13)

Allison Bores ’13 (MBA ’13) considers herself a born and raised Clevelander, constantly showing her support and passion for the Northeast Ohio Community through leadership involvement in a variety of non-profit organizations.

Allison was drawn to Baldwin Wallace by the Accounting program. She appreciated how she was able to earn her bachelor’s degrees in accounting and finance and an MBA in 4 ½ years as part of BW’s 3/2 program. She also valued BW’s proximity to home and her opportunity to run on the track team. She earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance and a master’s degree in Business Administration, both from BW. She now works as a forensic accountant for the Federal Government.

She notes her most impactful memory at BW as her Wednesday Intermediate Accounting Class instructed by Dr. Linda Chase. She says that although it was her most difficult class, Dr. Chase was very supportive and could always make her students laugh.

Allison now gives back to BW by speaking at panels for student athletes, mentoring students, and serving on the Women for BW’s Steering and Recognition Committees. She hopes to inspire future student athletes and women to “dream big, network, and achieve his or her goals.”

She values Women for BW for its in-person events and the level of involvement of the committees. A rewarding aspect of Women for BW for her is being able to see what her contributions go towards. “The best part is at the end of the fiscal year, I can vote towards student and faculty grants that are sponsored through the membership fees.” She attends events sponsored by successfully funded grants, calling it a “great full-circle experience.”

Thank you, Allison!
