WOMEN FOR BW
Women for BW is a support organization of Baldwin Wallace University. Building on the legacy established by the Baldwin Wallace Women's Club, founded in 1921, the group strengthens the course of women’s philanthropy through the power of programming, engagement, and collective giving. A strong and inclusive group of informed women will create opportunities for future generations of BW students. The power of many women giving together has a significant impact. Women for BW members benefit from three specific areas: Giving Circle, programming, and student and peer networking.

MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to all Baldwin Wallace alumnae and friends. To participate in the Giving Circle, Women for BW members will commit to an annual contribution and hold one vote to determine where Faculty & Staff Special Projects and Student Academic Enrichment awards are allocated each year. Membership levels are listed below and are made annually during BW's fiscal year to maintain member status.
Recent Graduate: $100
(less than 5 years since graduation date, regardless of age)
Women for BW membership for graduating seniors is now being offered through your Jacket Express Card.
Young Alumni: $250
(40 and under)
Member: $500
(41 and over)
If a member cannot meet the noted threshold above, the individual may still donate to the Giving Circle fund but does not earn voting rights. The member is encouraged to attend any Women for BW events but may be required to pay a registration fee, when applicable.
If a member chooses to give $1,000 or higher, the donor would be invited to the annual James Wallace Society Dinner and other leadership donor activities. Members are encouraged to continue their typical philanthropic giving to the University.
GIVING CIRCLE
The Giving Circle has two segments for annual disbursement with 75% of funds allocated to Faculty & Staff Special Projects and 25% of funds allocated as Student Academic Enrichment grants.
Faculty & Staff Special Projects - 75%
Faculty & Staff proposals focus on curricular and approved student experiential learning opportunities. Proposals require approval of department chair prior to submission. Project funding will be determined by voting members.
Awards will range from $2,000-5,000 depending upon funds available each year. Remaining funds will be placed into the endowment. Recipients are determined by voting members as an award. Honoring the current Women's Club legacy, all recipients will be female.
