WOMEN for BW

Terri Ambrose '05

To pursue an Executive MBA, Terri chose Baldwin Wallace for its principled and practical approach to education.

“The professors were business experts serving on boards of large local companies after rising up through the ranks,” she says. “Their experiences were invaluable in teaching the classes and preparing us for executive management.”

Terri says her favorite memory at BW was presenting in Dr. Anthony Khuri’s class. “This was valuable in developing my strategic expertise in a practical setting, working with real companies and real issues,” she says.

Earning her master’s degree in 2005, she has since used all that she learned at BW to constantly innovate in her many roles.

Terri is drawn to strategic and transformative work that has a positive impact. Her career was primarily in corporate banking meeting with corporate treasurers and managing financial product offerings to serve corporate and public entity customers. Terri has also showcased her talents in transforming select education and nonprofit organizations.

As a member of the Baldwin Wallace Business Honor Society, Terri can still be seen on BW’s campus attending events, such as VIP Receptions, Economic Insights panel discussions, alumni events, reunions, seminars and performances.

“This keeps me connected,” she says. “I’ve actually met some presidential candidates, U.S. Senators, U.S. Representatives, local business leaders and fellow alumni at these events over the years. I appreciate these events as they keep us intellectually engaged and make us aware of BW activities.”

She also chose to join Women for BW because the mission appealed to her to reward hard-working students and faculty.

As a Women for BW member, Terri enjoys hearing the presentations from award applicants as they describe their objectives and goals. “We get to see students that are researching and solving issues and learning beyond the classroom,” she says.

The most rewarding aspect of Women for BW for Terri is the Awards Ceremony. “I enjoy meeting the Award recipients to congratulate them and spend quality time discussing their project and programs,” she says. “It is rewarding to see their passion about learning.”

Thanks, Terri!
