The honor of the White Rose is a recognition of women who have made an impact on campus through their leadership and dedication.

Each year, 26 exceptional women are honored as White Rose Recipients to honor the memory of Philura Gould Baldwin. Miss Baldwin was the granddaughter of BW founder John Baldwin. Her many contributions to the campus community included
organizing our first library and choosing our colors. She passed away at age twenty-six from tuberculosis, but her legacy lives on.
