Mackenzie Durbin '14

Mackenzie Durbin ’14 credits Baldwin Wallace with shaping the person and professional she is today and is passionate about helping young leaders recognize their full potential.

Mackenzie was attracted to the Sports Management and Business Management programs after touring Baldwin Wallace as a junior in high school. She was also drawn to the small community feeling that BW has to offer.

Mackenzie attributes some of her best memories from BW to the people she met during her college career. Before the start of her freshman year, Mackenzie attended a “Meet the Admitted Students” event, where she would meet her future husband, Ryan. “Over the years, I met my husband, my bridesmaids, and the people my kids refer to as ‘aunts’ and ‘uncles’ at BW,” she says, “and even though our careers have taken us hundreds of miles away those connections have stood the test of time.”

Throughout her time at BW, Mackenzie was involved in Zeta Tau Alpha as well as leadership in the Collegiate Panhellenic Council. She says that these experiences along with academics have helped shape the principles by which she leads and lives by today. After graduating from BW, she went on to earn a Juris Doctorate from Cleveland Marshall College of Law in 2016. Mackenzie and her husband now reside in Nashville, Tennessee, where she works as a corporate in-house staff counsel for Asurion, a tech solutions firm. They now have two daughters and love to travel, golf, and spend time with family.

She also loves giving back to her alma mater through Women for BW.

“The best part of Woman for BW for me, has been the ability to connect with women who share my love for BW as well as having the opportunity to help foster the advancement of future generations of BW students.”

Thank you, Mackenzie!
