Alyson Cotter Campbell '08

The first time Alyson Campbell stepped foot on campus as a high school student, she knew that Baldwin Wallace University was the right school for her. “Everyone was so friendly and even the President introduced himself to me while walking through the Higgins Center. I knew then and there that this was the place I wanted to be - small enough, close to a big city, and welcoming,” says Alyson.

Her decision to tour BW came at the last minute, after touring more than 60 colleges across the U.S. as a desirable student-athlete. Alyson was able to spend her time as a BW student highly engaged with athletics, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Sports Management and an impressive college basketball career behind her.

After graduation, Alyson was able to continue her involvement in athletics at BW as the Golf Coach and Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. Three years later, Alyson transitioned to her role as an Assistant Director in the Admission Office, where she was able to share her love of Baldwin Wallace with future students. Alyson left her position at BW in 2014 following the birth of her triplet daughters.

Since her time as a BW employee, Alyson has made it a priority to stay involved with the Baldwin Wallace community. Reflecting on her experience at Baldwin Wallace, Alyson says, “I loved my time as a student and employee at BW. I know the types of people and opportunities that make BW a very special place. I wanted to be able to give back to the University and also use it as a way to network with like-minded women.”

Despite her busy schedule as a mother of three and Beautycounter consultant, Alyson finds time to stay engaged by attending BW sporting events with husband Devon (’07, ’13) and as an active member of Women for BW, serving as a Chairwoman during 2019. Describing her favorite things about Women for BW, Alyson says, “Aside from the friendships I have made, seeing the impact that this group of women has made is the best. I love hearing about the amazing things our students (particularly female) are doing, and how we can support initiatives and their dreams.” We are incredibly thankful for Alyson’s dedication to supporting students and the positive impact she has had on BW students throughout the years. We are thrilled to have her continue to serve as Chair of Women for BW through 2020!

Thank you, Alyson!
