BW Announces 2025 Alumni Merit Award and Outstanding Young Alumni Honorees

Congratulations to the six BW alumni who were named 2025 Alumni Merit Award recipients and two alumni who were named Outstanding Young Alumni Award recipients. They will be honored during a special ceremony on Thursday, May 15 at the Strosacker Student Union.
The Alumni Merit Award honors exceptional and honorary alumni for their achievements, leadership and contributions to their profession or field of study, community, and alma mater. The 2025 Alumni Merit honorees are Selena Budge ’08, Tom Einhouse ’89, Dr. Rebecca Spooner Korwin ’95, Patricia A. Lauria ’91, Dr. Randolph P. Laycock ’77, and Natalie Winkelfoos ’03.
The Outstanding Young Alumni Award recognizes extraordinary young alumni (graduates of the last decade or any alumni under the age of 40). The 2025 Outstanding Young Alumni honorees are Max Nolin ’13 and Dr. Sarah J. Terrill '13.
Drive Innovation at BW and Win a 2025 Chevy Equinox EV

BW has partnered with Serpentini of Strongsville and The Chevy Network to provide one lucky winner a way to win a brand new, 2025 Chevy Equinox Electric Vehicle.
All proceeds go to the Fund for BW, which helps to drive innovation at Baldwin Wallace and enhance the opportunities and experiences available to all students.

The raffle is open to all individuals 18 years of age and older, including students, family, friends, faculty, and staff. The winner will be announced on May 2, 2025 - don't miss your opportunity to drive a brand new EV while also being a driving force for an innovative next chapter at Baldwin Wallace University.
Tickets are available online, at select events, and in person in the BW Alumni Office in Bonds Hall. For more information on this raffle and how to purchase your tickets, you can also call John Bauer, Director of the Fund for BW, at 440-826-8045.
All Classes Welcome During BW's Alumni Weekend

Come back to BW during Alumni Reunion Weekend on Friday and Saturday May 16 and 17, 2025 to celebrate with the reunion classes of 1975, 1985, 2000 and 2015. All BW classes and guests are welcome for this fun-filled weekend. Register now.
Can't make it to Alumni Weekend? Consider a gift to support BW students. Your gift, no matter the size, sends a message of gratitude and belief in the transformative power of a BW education. Batter up, Yellow Jackets! It's time to root for the home team at the BW Night at the Cleveland Guardians on Friday, May 30 at Progressive Field. Let's fill the stands and show our BW and CLE Pride! Gather your friends and family for a night full of baseball, food, and fun!
Join the BW Sport Management program and the Center for Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement before the game for a picnic in Progressive Field's Pennant District. Enjoy hot dogs, chips, nachos, fireworks, and more!

Are you a First-Generation College Graduate?

Are you a first-generation BW graduate? Would you like to mentor BW first-gen students? The Division of Student Affairs wants to hear from you! Fill out this survey to determine your interest in participating in first-generation programming at BW, such as workshops, events, alumni panels or mentoring first-generation BW students. You do not need to be First-Gen to participate.
A First-Generation student is defined as one whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have not completed a bachelor’s degree in the United States (you are still considered first-gen even if a sibling attended college before you). First-generation applies to alumni of all backgrounds.

Grow and Learn this Summer with the BW Community Arts School (CAS)
Did you know summer at Baldwin Wallace is a special time in the Community Arts School? Campus is filled with Summer Arts Programs for middle and high school students. Whether the student in your life is a vocalist, plays a musical instrument, is a dancer, or wants to try their hand at musical theatre, we have a fun, educational, and rewarding camp experience for them.

Do you know a college student who wants to work at camp? CAS hires college students to serve as camp counselors. This opportunity is perfect for students looking to explore a career in education, music, working with students, or just to enjoy a week of music making. Check out our Summer 2025 Positions.
