Women-identifying students attending Baldwin Wallace University
are invited to apply for an
Academic Enrichment Award
presented by the Women for BW Giving Circle
Awards up to $2,000 will be presented to the finalist(s).
Students may request funding up to $2,000.
Awards cannot be used as a scholarship to offset tuition costs, but can fund student projects like research, programming, and experiential learning opportunities.

Eligibility Requirements

The Women for BW Giving Circle will consider proposals that meet
one of the following criteria for the use of funds:
- Enable women-identifying Baldwin Wallace University undergraduate/graduate students to experience a pre-approved international or domestic experiential learning opportunity.
- Provide funding for those women-identifying students who may not otherwise be able to afford to participate in a study abroad program.
- Provide funding for a woman-identifying student’s research project that promotes active research collaboration.
- Provide funding to present at or attend conferences in a woman-identifying student’s field of study.
- Provide funding for a woman-identifying student’s internship.
- Provide funding for a service-learning trip or project that benefits Baldwin Wallace or the greater community, spearheaded by women-identifying students or will have at least 50% women participation.

In addition, more serious consideration will be given to proposals that:
- Have few sources of support and realize a significant impact from the Giving Circle’s gift.
The number of grants awarded will depend on the size of the pooled funds and the number of compelling proposals submitted. All award funds must be used in 2024-2025 and completed with a report by end of fall semester 2025.
Awarding Process:
- All applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2024.
- All applications are reviewed by the Women for BW Recognition Committee.
- Finalists who are selected by the Committee will be expected to submit a video of their presentation by 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 14 (required) and present in person on their application at our In-Person Voting Event on Saturday, December 7 (strongly encouraged); detailed instructions will be provided by Tuesday, November 12.
- Finalists' presentations will be voted on by Women for BW Giving Circle members and awards determined by Wednesday, December 11.
- Students who are selected for awards will receive their award via check in the weeks following selection.
