Basketball Locker Room Renovation

The Project:

Nearly a year ago, BW embarked on a project to renovate the men’s and women’s locker rooms, film room and players’ lounge.  The locker rooms had not been renovated since 1986.  With the addition of Packard Athletic Center, space previously used by football, became available for use by the basketball teams.  BW strives to provide quality facilities for our student athletes, which can affect their pride, energy and performance.

The total cost of the project is about $125,000 with a fundraising goal of $75,000. To date, nearly $40,000 has been donated by alumni and friends toward the project.  Thanks to the generosity of our alumni, the locker rooms are complete and were in use last season.

The film room and players’ lounge remain on hold until the balance of the funds can be raised.  Desk space, computers, and new furniture will be added to the players’ lounge for student use.  The film room will be reconfigured with seating and desk space for players to view and study game films and meet with coaching staff.
