Empower Tomorrow for BW Students During BW Gives
Join the Yellow Jacket community on March 21-22 as 1,845 Yellow Jackets for Life (YJ4Ls) come together in support of our students and the future of our University. Your gift to the Fund for BW during BW Gives provides the vital resources needed to meet the greatest needs and emerging priorities of our students throughout the year.

Join Us for a Total BW Eclipse
BW and most of northeast Ohio will be in the path of totality during the solar eclipse on Monday, April 8. Join us on the BW campus for the total solar eclipse event (totality will be reached by 3:10 p.m.). Free solar glasses will be provided while supplies last.
Gary Kader, director of the Burrell Observatory, will share insights and knowledge about the eclipse as events unfold. BW will also offer concessions with BW Bakery Moon Pies, activities and entertainment during this rare event. The next total solar eclipse in Ohio will be in the year 2099.
This event is free of charge with no entrance ticket required. The event will occur with partial cloud cover. However, it will be canceled in the event of heavy rain or snow. Check back here for updates.
Support Scholar-Athletes at the BW Athletics Reverse Raffle
Support BW scholar-athletes at the BW Athletics Reverse Raffle at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 22 at BW's Student Activities Center. Grand Prize: $5,000! Winner need not be present to win.
All proceeds from the event are invested in projects that support current and future scholar-athletes, ensuring they have the resources to succeed in the classroom, in competition and after graduation. BW Announces 2024 Alumni Merit Award Honorees
Congratulations to our eight BW alumni who were named our 2024 Alumni Merit Award recipients and will be honored during a special ceremony on
Thursday, May 16 at the Strosacker Student Union.
The Alumni Merit Awards honor exceptional and honorary alumni for their achievements, leadership and contributions to their profession or field of study, community, and alma mater.
The 2024 honorees include Paul Clark ’81, Penny Forster ’01, Ashleigh Gordon ’06, Phyllis Seven Harris ’02, Zarema Arutyunova Jaramillo ’00, Patricia "Tricia" Melton ’87, ’08, Amy (Bardeen) Nowacki ’02, and Stamy Paul ’94.
Celebrate BW Milestone Reunion Classes at Alumni Reunion Weekend
Come back to BW during Alumni Reunion Weekend on Friday and Saturday May 17 and 18, 2024 to celebrate with the reunion classes of 1974, 1989, 1999 and 2014. All BW classes and guests are welcome for this fun-filled weekend. Register below.

We are searching for Reunion Ambassadors from the classes of 1974, 1989, 1999 and 2014 to personally connect with classmates and have input on planning decisions. Batter up, Yellow Jackets! It's time to root for the home team at the BW Night at the Cleveland Guardians versus the Washington Nationals on Friday, May 31 at Progressive Field. Let's fill the stands and show our BW Pride! Gather your friends & family for a night full of baseball, food, and fun!
Join us before the game for a picnic in Progressive Field's newly renovated Pennant District. Enjoy hot dogs, chips, raffle items, and more!
Young Alumni Guardians Pre-Game Social
Recently graduated alumni, we want to hear from you! Send us your updates so we can celebrate your accomplishments and keep you up-to-date on events like our upcoming Guardians Pre-Game Social.
