2022 Reverse Raffle Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

$5,000 Cash Prize - Last Ticket Wins!

What is a Reverse Raffle? Just what it sounds like! In a traditional raffle, the first ticket pulled wins the prize. In a reverse raffle, the LAST ticket pulled wins the prize.

The Brown & Gold Club Reverse Raffle sells 200 tickets, and all 200 tickets are pulled until we get to the last, winning ticket. When there are only five remaining tickets, the Reverse Raffle Committee presents the representatives the opportunity to either split the pot or to choose to continue drawing tickets until there is only one grand prize winner. Those in possession of a 'raffle-only' ticket (non-attendee) are contacted via phone while those in attendance are called to the stage to make a decision.

Prizes are also awarded to other tickets pulled throughout the raffle for even more opportunities to win!

Rules of entry for the Reverse Raffle:

  • Winner need NOT be present to win.

  • All entrants and winner must provide name, address, and contact information.

  • Winner is responsible for applicable taxes, if any.

How do I get a raffle ticket and how much are they? Tickets can be purchased online here or by calling The Center for Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement at 440.826.2104.
