Since 2012, BW has partnered with College Now Greater Cleveland (formerly Cleveland Scholarship Programs) in an exciting initiative serving students who receive scholarship funds from College Now – including 59 current BW students!  Mentors provide advice and encouragement based on their own college experience, with most communication happening online through a platform supervised by College Now staff. Additional opportunities to meet in-person are provided. While the time commitment is flexible, mentors are encouraged to maintain a relationship with their mentee over his/her years on campus until graduation.

Mentors and mentees are matched primarily on career goals. Most alumni mentors are able to be matched with a BW student in the first year, others may be asked to wait until a match with a BW student is available, or be offered the opportunity to mentor a student at another university.

Join over 100 BW alumni in the YJ4L spirit who have served as mentors and made a difference!

Can't attend on March 6, but still want to get involved? Additional orientation sessions are available. Contact Mentoring Program Manager, Madeline Rife, at mrife@collegenowgc.org or 216-635-0163 or check out the College Now website here.
