In today's rapidly shifting world and work environments, it is easy to become distracted and feel removed from our inner life and breath. As leaders, managers and entrepreneurs, we are often pulled in multiple directions and sometimes farther away from our original goals than we would like. Fortunately, staying focused can be achieved with greater self-awareness and the incorporation of a few simple techniques into our daily lives and environments.

This special "Dessert and Dialogue" offering will provide the opportunity to learn about the eastern framework of yoga and how it was originally intended. The objective of yoga practice is to not deplete energy but to recharge and refresh. Led by recent MBA graduate Varsha Vydyula '17, we will learn breathing exercises, simple yoga poses, and other techniques that can be used in any setting in a workshop format. Param Srikantia will then share additional context around the history and eastern framework of yoga. Ultimately we will gain a conscious understanding of the relationship between our movement and breath. Attend this event to learn successful strategies for stress reduction and increased feeling of well-being.

How to prepare: Please dress appropriately in soft/moveable clothing. Bring a yoga mat and clean water to drink. Don't have a yoga mat?  It's OK - extras will be available for use during the event. This event is suitable for beginners and those brand-new to yoga. All are welcome!

Online registration has closed for this event, but you may register by phone before Friday at 5:00 p.m. by calling (440) 826-2104. Please be sure to mention if you need a yoga mat.

Walk-ups the day of the event are also accepted.
