The value of the BW MBA is not only in the credential of the degree or the knowledge obtained in class, but also in the combined value of our collective circles of influence and the body of our experiences. Stay connected and build your network by participating in programs such as the Career Catalyst Series featuring topical presentations by BW faculty, alumni and other business leaders; Economic Insights annual panel event offering multiple perspectives; a popular regular seminar by Param Srikantia (originally of the "Why Life Sucks" series), and other events for BW alumni.
The School of Business also maintains a resource of On Demand webinars presented by BW faculty and alumni. You may register for the webinars which will enable you to receive links to content you may watch at your leisure.
In 2019 the MBAA celebrated its 10-year anniversary with a special gala event, which included an announcement about creating the MBA Association Endowment Fund to preserve resources for the future. The Endowment Fund is stewarded by members of the MBAA Executive Council in partnership with BW financial and philanthropy officers.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several in person events were canceled in 2020, but the MBAA welcomed the return of the Master's Masters Golf Outing in September 2021 and has innovated a mix of in person and virtual engagement opportunities to serve its members. Save the date for the 2022 outing: Monday, September 12 at Fox Meadow Country Club in Medina.
MBA alumni are also active volunteers. In addition to alumni serving on the Executive Council and event subcommittees of the MBA Association, alumni have assisted the School of Business with mentoring One Year MBA students who have less career experience than the typical MBA student. Alumni also help the School of Business with recruitment by participating in the MBA Alumni Referral Scholarship, funded by the BW School of Business to celebrate the legacy of its graduates. In partnership with BW Career Services, MBA alumni are active on the Yellow Jackets Career Connections and Handshake platforms and appear regularly on Career Services panels.
