50th Annual Reverse Raffle

Saturday, April 4, 2020

Hosted by the Brown & Gold Club

What's a reverse raffle? Just what it sounds like! In a traditional raffle, the first ticket picked wins the prize. In a reverse raffle, the LAST ticket picked wins the prize. The Brown & Gold Club Reverse Raffle sells 200 tickets, and all 200 tickets are pulled until we get to the last, winning ticket. The BW Reverse Raffle traditionally calls to the stage the representatives of the last five remaining tickets, and those five are given the opportunity to split the pot or to choose to continue drawing tickets until there is only one grand prize winner. Prizes are also awarded to other tickets pulled throughout the raffle, to increase the fun.

What's a sideboard? It's a limited 50/50 raffle. One hundred tickets are available for purchase from the "board" (you can choose your ticket), and the winner receives half of the pot. Sideboard entry is cash-only, so be sure to come prepared!

Rules of Entry for the Reverse Raffle:

  • Winner need not be present to win.

  • All entrants and winner must provide name, address, and contact information.

  • Winner is responsible for applicable taxes, if any.
