Fall 2021 Issue

We're thankful for YOU!

The Center for Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement extends warm wishes to you for the upcoming holiday season. As we approach Thanksgiving, we are grateful for everyone who has supported and remained engaged with BW this year. It makes a difference!

On October 2, we welcomed nearly 3,000 alumni, parents, and community members to the Bold & Gold Homecoming Festival. Grand Marshals Ted and Irene Theodore led the parade through Berea, ending at a North Quad overflowing with activity as BW has never seen before. The Yellow Jackets crushed the Capital Crusaders 51-0 in George Finnie Stadium, and seventies band Disco Inferno performed a lively post-game concert. Check out the article capturing all happenings here.

On October 30, the 2021 Athletics Hall of Fame inductees were honored along with the 2020 inductee class at a special event on campus. Congratulations to all!

Stay engaged with BW this winter!

With shorter days and colder weather, we know the winter months for many of our alumni and friends can be challenging. That's why we're inviting you to stay engaged with BW in the following ways:

Campus events are back! Many BW events, including athletics competitions and performances, are happening and open to the public. We ask that visitors respect campus COVID safety guidelines which currently include an indoor mask mandate. Bookmark this calendar page to keep up with cultural events and bwyellowjackets.com for a schedule of games and meets.

Check out a livestream! Whether you are far from campus or prefer to stay at home, it's easier than ever to catch a game or concert. Links to individual athletic event livestreams are available within the composite schedule or visit BW's calendar page for livestreams of select cultural events.

Join the BW Alumni & Friends Virtual Book Club. Winter is a great season for reading, and this book club has something for everyone. Club members share ideas in an online forum facilitated by our partner PBC Guru and enjoy perks including free, members-only author talks and the chance to vote on subsequent titles. Sign up here

Best wishes to you and yours for the holiday season.

With much gratitude,

Your Friends at the Center for Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement
