A partnership of Baldwin Wallace and College Now Greater Cleveland
Since 2012, Baldwin Wallace has partnered with College Now Greater Cleveland (formerly Cleveland Scholarship Programs) in an exciting initiative serving BW students who receive scholarship funds from College Now to finance their education. You are invited to participate as a volunteer mentor as part of this initiative. Over 70 BW alumni are currently serving as volunteer mentors.
Mentors provide a valuable link in the chain of a student's college experience by providing advice, offering encouragement, and sharing knowledge from their own BW experience. Mentoring relationships don't just benefit students - mentors benefit as well, by strengthening leadership skills, networking with other volunteers, and getting the satisfaction that comes from making a difference in the community. Mentors primarily communicate with their assigned student online, with additional opportunities to meet in person throughout the year. Mentors and students are encouraged to stay in touch for the duration of the student's college career.
Interested in learning more? Make plans to attend an information session on campus, presented by College Now staff with input from BW alumni already participating as mentors. You may register online below or call the Alumni House at (440) 826-2104.
